City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

So I Recently Read City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. This is the first book in the Mortal Instruments series. This Book is young adult so the romance in this book is pretty light. City of Bones is about a girl named Clarissa who goes by Clary who grew up in the human or mundane world. She finds out she has a secret connection to the shadowhunter world. When Clary’s mother goes missing, the shadow hunters Clary meets at the club help her adjust to the shadow world. Clary uncovers the truth about her mother’s past as well as hers. The characters in this book are truly amazing from the mysterious Jace and the outgoing Clary to the Charming Isabelle and the Accountable Alec. The plot of this book was amazing with a relatable protagonist in Clary and a fast-paced plot. The storytelling in this book made me feel like I was living the story alongside Clary. This was easily a 5-star read as it was amazing the only drawback was I felt like the beginning was a bit slow. So, that is why I gave it 4.5 stars
